i have a 86 honda 250r with the stock carb, delta v-force 2 reed cage, fmf fatty pipe and after market air filter what jets should i use in my carb and where should i set the air mixture screw.
please help.

do you know about doing a plug check? if your plug is real white this is very bad on a 2 stroke, if it is real black it's running to rich. somewhere in the middle is a good place kind of light brown is good. but if you don't know stay to the darker brown side it's easier to replace plugs than pistons. smaller numbers mean less fuel on the jets. if you already knew this sorry.

My bike is pritty much the same thing and I have 155- 160 main jets in it, depending on weather. And my pilot I just leave the stock one in it.
to make the air screw adjustment the best you can... first you turn the idle up 500 rpm. then you turn the air screw in all the way. Keep turning it out 1/4 of a turn untill you can snap the throttle wide open real quick with out any hesitation.
