I read a post about using a farm card and not having to pay sales tax when purchasing a new atv. Just wondering if anyone has more information on this and how it works. My in-laws have a farm and I am sure they would let me use it. I just don't know how it works...anyone???

 

It varies from state to state, ask your dealer or cpa. In Kansas we sign a farm use only permit and get exempt from sales and property tax along with writing it off our income tax, fuel and maintance included.

 

In Tennessee there is a form that you fill out after you purchase the ATV requesting
your taxes back. There also may be a card but I was only able to find a tax return form.
