They are so close in performance. If you are going to be riding trails and NOT jumping much, go with the Z. If you are going to be riding in the yard or on a track or maybe don't have deep pockets, which the Z's still require, go for the EX. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

 

i like both but if you are budget minded and enjoy building a fast custom quad, get a used 400ex but if you have money and want something thats fast outta tha box, get tha Z

 

like I said before honda has the best all around quad and they are just more user friendly and there are more go fast parts and honda been in buissness a lot longer than suzuki so there something to think about

 

which is cheaper to mod?

 

the 400ex is far cheaper to mod for many reasons:
it has been around since 1999 so many companys are competing for best value parts
only one cam
price in parts goes down over time
more companys offer 400ex parts than z400 parts

 

what about prices of mods to 400ex compared to prices for mods raptors

 

400ex is still cheaper to mod, though raptor mods are getting cheaper as time goes on, as for cost, you can buy a beat up 400ex and put 2 grand worth of mods on it and it will still cost less than a completely stock raptor

Z400's smoke 400EX's... There are more parts for the EX but the Z is faster and in my opinion it is much more
stronger... (frame ect.)
