No bar pulling required on mine, i sit in the normal riding position and punch the throttle and the front end will get air...I can't ride one all day long for 100 feet or anything like that but I absolutely will get air for a good 10 feet or so.

Just my 2 cents but I live in Ohio and dont have the alltitude problem and mine doesnt do wheelies and I have the dyno jet kit with a K&N filter. It only has about 200 miles on it and when I put on the 26 "mudlites it's even worse. It just doesnt have the take off to pull the front wheels.Maybe it's my jetting but I have messed with different settings and havent gotten anywhere.Does it get better the more miles you have on it?I also drag raced a friend of mine when it was almost new with a grizzly and he beat me by about 2 quad lengths.

3TV - with the altitude variations you deal with on a regular basis that new Polaris 700 EFI may be just the ticket when you are in one of your utility ride mood swings. I’d like to see more of the manufacturers get on the bandwagon and incorporate electronic fuel injection into their machines.

I know they (Polaris) have had a somewhat tarnished past (of course there are always some that never have any trouble with them and I hope those would in reality be the majority of the group for their sake). However I too would probably not buy one simply because of some deficiencies (or perhaps they are features) that I don’t like, such as nearly 150 lbs of extra weight (if I was using it exclusively for working this would be a “plus” rather than a negative because it would have a towing advantage), I’ve heard negative reports about the 4WD system and steep downhills too where the engine braking effect ends up being applied to only 2 wheels, and finally I don’t care for the “one brake does all” thing as in certain technical riding situations there are times when you really want to apply only the back brakes or only the front brakes. Beyond that when it comes to reliability I’d personally have to evaluate that on a model by model basis to see how a particular model holds up and then form an opinion based upon that. Notice I did state that I’d like to see more of the manufacturers implement EFI into their machines (and I’m sure we will be seeing more soon), as EFI automatically compensates for changes in altitude (if it works properly) to keep the engine running in the most efficient manner possible.

not to mention all the other maintanence on the polaris. i don't know about other quads but the honda is completeley sealed up the polaris you have to grease about 23 different fittings regularly. it's a high maintanece quad.
