ATV newbie with stupid question
Dead battery. Charge it will a low amp charger designed for motorcycle/ATV batteries. A high amp auto charger will boil the battery.
If it has been sitting long enough for the battery to go dead, it probably needs a general maintenance check. Change the oil. Use motorcycle/ATV oil, not auto oil. Clean the air filter. Drain out the old gas (put it in your truck), especially the gas in the carb bowl. Blow out the carb with carb cleaner and refill the tank with fresh brand name gas. Add fuel line cleaner to the gas. Check the tire pressure.

I'm not positive, but if the battery is indeed dead, you won't have any luck trying to start it. It needs a good battery to start. That happened to me not too long ago. The battery went dead on me and I had a friend pull me around trying to start it. It wouldn't fire till I charged the battery up some.
