Banshee VS 250R
#2
how far are you going to drag race? with minor sprocket changes you can make the machine super quick
from 1st to 6th, but you will lose top end doing it and the banshee has a lot of top end power...so you may lose
there...anyways, in my experience, it isn't that hard to do. The banshee I raced in 1/8 mile and won, unless
the guy was just a bad driver and slow shifter, I won by about a quad length and a 1/2...and I have a 14 tooth on the front
and 38 in the back...stock is 13/39, so in changing my sprockets I lost about 5-6 mph top end but I can get to my new top
end way quicker.

pimp250r- you got it backwards bub. The higher the countershaft (front) sproket is the fast top speed youl have, and the lower on the back the more top speed you will have. So your R with 14/38 will have more top end.
My Piped, shaved head, filtered 250R always gives a greatly tuned piped banshee a good run (usually beats them thow.) and my gears are 15/40 with 20 inch tires, but if your going to be play riding also then a great gearing set up for you would be 14/40-38. Thats just a little bit higher than normal (more top speed) The more power you have the more gearing you should have also, because youl be faster. ** I do know you dont have a 250R yet but if you got one this would be what you want to do if it had some bolt on features**

my bad drag, I'm not the greatest with gearing
anyways, I also had 18" tires on the back and when I bought it
it had 22" back tires...
so in gearing, it goes:
bigger front small back = more top end?
smaller front bigger back = less top end, but quicker?
just want to clarify, I have never gotten a straight answer from anyone on this.
