First of all let me start by saying that I love every brand of quads for giving us all these new quads in the last two years.
Anyways, I thought it was funny that know one in the Yamaha forum is talking about the baja, maybe because a lot of yamaha owners stuck there foot in there mouths bashing the new 450r. It looks like TWO honda 450's was ahead of the only yfz to finish the race. Im not trying to bash on the yfz but I love it when people that talk a lot of smack get proved wrong.
A huge laugh from me to you. hahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

Oh come on now.
I don't think a lot of "Yamaha" owners were saying anything bad about the new 450R. I think it was, as it always is, a small minority of individuals that really don't know jack and were trying to get some attention. How can anyone intelligently give comments on a bike that wasn't even out yet? You have to be able to distinguish the idiots from the majority. We all knew the 450R would rock and so does the YFZ.

Hmmmm.....maybe.
But I wonder how many of these people, unless they bleed blue, were thinking to themselves, "man that is going to be one sweet ride! Hey, isn't Christmas just around the corner?"
It really isn't very smart to be completely dedicated to one brand because there are just way too many nice things on the market. Although the manufacturers may want you to be loyal to their brand and their brand only I seriously doubt they are going to send anyone an appreciation plaque every year for sticking with their product. Just because someone has a Yamaha in their garage doesn't mean they don't have room for a Honda or some other brand for that matter.

I am going start this off with this. I am impressed with both the new Honda TRX 450R and Yamaha YFZ450. Both are great quads. One of the main reasons that the Honda won over the Yamaha was money. Honda spent Millions on the Baja 1000 this year. They did the prep work and the racers had huge support at each pit stop like 5 to 10 Honda Engineers. They had a full week too pre run there individual section when other racer were at work. If they had to make a major change to the set up Honda had the staff on hand to due it on the spot. Other had to return to their shops to make changes. I just wish the other manufactures supported there racers like Honda. Honda did a first class job and won. Round one to Honda the next test will be the MX and GNCC race seson I bet Honda will be there will the other manufactures be there?

Well said all. I for one am sick of all the brand bigotry I see in these forums. I have owned one or two of each of the 4 major brands of quads over the last 17 years, and I liked every one of them. All had their pluses and their minuses. But, all were fun, reliable for the most part, and did what they were designed to do. We are all Brothers and Sisters of the Mud, and this brand name rivalry really gets me down at times.
I will have to say, most of the people I see badmouthing other brands are Yamaha and Polaris owners. I never figured out why, but there it is. Not that all do it, just the most vocal and prejudiced seem to own those two brands. I am in three ATV forums, and it is the same in all three. Anyone know why?
Fierce loyatly is OK, but not some of the sh*t I see going on in these forums.
