Default 250r pipe

Yeah, I know this question has been asked a MILLION times but I did a search and didnt find anybody asking that had a 310. I am looking for a pipe for my 250r (310 big bore). I have heard the best feedback about esr pipes. I'm looking for a low-mid pipe that doesnt effect the top end. I know the low end esr pipe has a 6 (maybe trx6) in the name, has anybody tried it? I have also heard that you have to make esr pipes fit and they dont fit right even on a stock frame and you have to do some grinding to get it to fit?????

personally I've heard nothing but good things about the ESR pipes,
and I am told they fit like a glove and are competetive with the curtis sparks mx pipes. the trx6 pipe is for mx while trx5 is for more top end. if I remember right, there are two styles of pipes you can get. One pipe fits normally on the chassis and bolts in the same places. But there is supposed to be a new style that loops behind the motor and goes straight back so it probably comes out under where the grab bar would be in the middle? something like that...anyways, you're supposed to get more hp from that design. I plan on getting the trx6 for my 250r as well...but I do not know about their performance on the big bore machines, I'll ask around though. Do you runthe CT top end with CT mid range pipe right now? I've asked a guy I know that's been racing pro for a real long time, he's stated that the best pipe a 250r for low and mid is the aeen pipe....I think he said he runs one on his 330 kit...but it still could be the ct....I'll have to get back to you on this once I do more digging

I just called one of our local honda dealers and they said they can't get the pipe because you have to be one of their dealers or something..so I couldnt even get prices...so, you'll probably have to find a local dealer thats affiliated with esr or buy online or something....still trying to find out of the esr and big bore thing...

I have an esr 310 with an esr trx5 pipe I used to have a trx6 pipe.

I can't say enough about the fit, they both fit fantastically. The trx6 pipe has power everywhere almost powervalve like but it is a little flat on top.

The trx5 pipe revs further and doesn't give up too much of the bottom end power.

Both are great, I had an fmf pipe before and there is no comparision.

It is a 310 pro-x, with a sparks TT pipe. What do you mean by being competetive with the Sparks mx pipe? I will be racing mx so I would want the better mx pipe. I think I would like the trx6 if its powervalve like because I just made the switch from 4 to 2 stroke.

I personally never had a spanks pipe but with my trx6 I could cruise around in 3rd or 4th gear at 1/8 throttle with the engine already on the power band but running at really low rpm, then gun it and it would just go.

I kinda miss that with the trx5 but more of my riding now is wide open.

i have a 310 on my 250R with a FMF pipe and i'm not too impressed with it. i think that ESR or LRD are the 2 best pipes for the 250's.
