Default How To: Remove axle in 300

I just bought a 2000 300ex and it has a bent axle. I have a new duarblue ordered and it should be here this Friday. I went to install it so that I can go riding this weekend. I think I know the basics of swapping them out but if someone had a wrie-up or any info that I could use it would be appreciated. I know you have to take the wheels off, hubs off (which I think the the bolt in the middle of the rims), and loosen the axle nut then slide it out one side.

The big nut is left handed. Loosen the jam nut then the fatter one until you see a snap ring, take off the ring and then it will all slide out of the carrier.

Thanks for the response. Is there anything else that anyone can think of? I'm doing this Friday afternoon and want it to go smoothly. What all has to come off, and is there a better way to do certain things?
