tie rods.

Default tie rods.

how loose should my tie rods be? should i be able to go up and wiggle them a little bit. i don't want them to be to loose and do nothing about it then have them come undone or break on me. thanks

There should be no extra novement. any extra movement means that it is getting loose. To much and it might come apart. It will also cause the quad to wander when riding.

Buy new tie rod ends. They can't be fixed. Don't buy used ones, how do you know or can you trust the seller to be telling the truth.

and how much would these new tie rod ends cost?
i just bought riding gear and am out of money and most of my christmas gifts are gone now in place of the gear.

The price varies depending on what quad it is for. The 250r ones are very costly, but they last the longest. The ones for the 400ex are very cheap, but are not as good as the r ones. these do inter change, so if you are low on money get the ex tie rod ends from someplace. don't know the prices off the top of my head. If it is for something else, not sure about them on what inter changes and the cost.

Default tie rods.

servicehonda.com beats all prices..i have had great service from them and i have always saved a bunch of $$$ from what the local dealer wants...

don't you need to know the parts number their to find the price? i don't have a service manual
