Honda 250R PETITION
#1
Is there any possible way of starting a petition to get Hondas attention; that if they re-introduced the TRX250R, that there are tens of thousands of people out there that would purchase one or more. I mean, if they started making them again they would make an absolute killing. The Market would explode. I do not understand what reason they have not too. It couldnt be emissions because like we all know, 2 strokes are still sellin like crazy. example the CR's, Polaris, and the Yamahas sport quads. But anyway back to my point. Could we like all get together and contact Honda and say "Hey, if you start selling Rs again, I would buy one" We need to have like thousands of people to do this, Because ONLY NUMBERS SELL. Let me know what you think.

The 250 was/is a great machine, but after over 10 years since the release of the "R", it is just not going to happen. Honda is just waiting for the #'s to keep dropping so they can quit making replacement parts for it. Let it go.....Let it go

Im not sure about what your trying to get at with the ten year remark. The reason they quit making them was because of law suits of the 3wheelers and the quads got stuck in there with it. And Honda signed like a 10 year agreement with the government saying they wouldnt produce them. But after the ten years were up they introduced a new machine 99 TRX400EX. So maybe its possible. Heck for all we know, maybe a NEW and IMPROVED 250R is already in the makings.

I believe this would work, I was instrumental in a similar petition to get Paramount and Fox to support DVD and hey it worked so it may work for this as well. We could all give them a call. But before we do this tell me about the agreement which was call the Consent Decree of 1988 why did that affect the 250R and not the Banshee, Quadracers, or 300EX. Was this something Honda chose to do as a result or did this decree specify High Performance ATV's? I actually believe the demise had a lot to do with its High Performance Stature, Yamaha just chose to risk it. When the consent decree was over Honda introduced a 4 stroke with a 250R chassis, why? This petition may work but I believe Honda has given us the bike they want us to have and that's the 400EX?
