Ive been reading up on the CRF 450 it sounds like they have been having alot of problems with the valve train this is on the 04 bikes . In most of the discussion ive been reading the mechanics are leaning toward there being a problem with riders that ride at lower rpms : trail riding : Wondering if any one in here rides a CRF 450 . Also any one have any Idea how often the valves have to be adjusted on the 450r ?[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img]

 

What type of problems are they refering to?

Is it a valve adjustment issue? If so thats great cause most of you guys dont adjust them often enough anyhow [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

yes I believe it was adjustment issues . From what I have read theres having to shim them alot more often than there supposed to I'm not at all familiar with the valve train assemble on these so I dont have a clue as to what there shimming . There stating that there changine the Oil and filters after approx 5 races ( MX ) and still having problems . Some of these riders also ride the trails . Thats what the mechanics are pointing to as being the problem
