300ex or warrior
#2
Alright, honestly.
Warrior has more power, more comfortable for people who are 6 feet tall and up. A little more suspension travel. Extremely low maintenance and cheap to buy used. Good climbers and OK mudders with the right tires. An EXCELLENT trail quad. Top speed it better by a few MPH, at around 61 or 62. I like my Warrior a ton, but the only thing I would change are to have it come with better stock tires, and to have a smoother transmission, because it can be clunky at times, but when you're going along normal there shouldn't be any problems as long as you use the clutch.
300EX doesn't have quite the same amount of power. Slightly smaller ergonomically, but it definitely has a better balanced chassis and sharp quick Honda-like handling. 5 speed transmission instead of the 6 speed like the Warrior. Not quite as MUCH suspension travel, but it does have better suspension action. And with the engine positioned in the middle of the frame, it makes it a very level jumper and great for the MX track. The Warrior tends to jump nose heavy, but all it takes is a few jumps to get used to. Top speed on the 300EX is around 56 to 57. Also a good trail quad. The reverse procedure is very complicated compared to the Warrior, but I saw some people last weekend with 300's and they got in and out of reverse like it was nothing.
Basically, both are extremely reliable, the EX has better handling and jumping characteristics, the Warrior is better on power and climbing. The 300ex is a little bit smaller, but it may fit some people better. Some people say the Warrior's steering is heavy, but it doesn't bother me a bit.
Mainly it depends on what you want to use it for. Beating around, trail riding, taller rider, Warrior. MX, jumping (while the Warrior is still a good jumper) , wheelies, 300ex.
Hope this helps, I asked the same thing a lot of times when I was trying to decide between these two.
