1996 Honda Fourtrax 300 TRX
#1
I going to look at a 1996 Honda Fourtrax 300TRX, I want to make sure it's a 4X4 and not a 4X2
how do I know for sure which one it is , will it say 4x4 or will looking at the front axle tell me
and are they all time 4x4 or is there a switch for both
what can I tell you I am new to this stuff
thanks

well the most easiest way would be to look for the 4x4 decals or the fact the the front wheels would have axles going to them. Make sure that the motor is quit hate to have you write back on here and find out that the oil filter was put in backwards (the oil doesn't get to the head when the oil filter is put in backwards).

Yeap cluby has it right. Looks for stickers and be sure to check for axles going to the front tires. If everything sounds and looks good and the price is right go for it. That machine in 2x4 or 4x4 either one is near bulletproof.
