Default ATV Sport Buyers Guide, Dises the TRX450R

I think the TRX450R is going to be twice the machine that yamaha has. Honda went to alot of trouble building that quad, the compleatly redesigned the motor from the CRF, they also redsigned the axle bearing carrier so it is double rowed. The shocks are amazing on the TRX450 they are like stock Work performance shocks. The honda is always better in the end trx250r are worth more than they were 14 years ago, and the trx 450 has to be at least the as good if not better STOCK than the old 250rs.

they should race the 250R AND THE TRX450

Rumor has it that ATVRider mgazine will have a shootout of the new 450R and the YZF450 along with other '04 models. The shootout was done both in the woods as well as on an MX track. Yes, they had pro riders offering the pros and cons of both bikes. If you want to know who the riders were....think about who won in '03 for GNCC and GNC MX. This evaluation should provide a real world analysis of the machines b/c they were tested by the best. So, if you would like an unbias review of the '04 machines pick up the April '04 ATV Rider issue (Yes - April '04), it should answer alot of your questions about the two machines.

They had to have done those ratings a while back, before Baja and lake whitney, There was no mention of the Baja or the test rides at lake whitney in that issue. So that issue was probably writen in October. No outside Honda had ridden one back then. They just guessed on the 450R ratings based on specs compared to yfz450.

That is a very good question that I still have not found the answer to. It seems that the problem is in getting advertizing and how it adversly affects the way things get writtin.

I remember a review on a boat that I had looked at buying and after reading it I laughed threw it away and bought something else. Not that it was a bad boat but in an effort to please a major advertizer this idiot writer claims that it rides firm, LMAO firm sounds nice and tough but only means hard, so this boat slammed this guy around and he calls it firm, I call it lies.

Same crap with dirt wheels and atv action on what ever the newer product is that is being pushed hard and advertized by the mfg. I keep laughing to myself every time I saw another all out praise of the Z-400 and all its clones about being the best everything etc etc, but then rememberd that not very long ago they were doing the same thing on the 400EX and even later on when compared to the DS and raptor there was just more praise, and later on again compared to the z-400 and still more praise but a scream for more power. Now its all forgotten in the mags and all have moved on to the newer released stuff, but see how the Z400 is finding the same decline as the 400ex did before it?

Now I understand how this happens etc but the EX got several years being on top in the mags and getting all the praises etc and the z barely got a year and now they dis it with engine mods and aftermarket suspension. What I am getting at is the BS is way too obvious now and I dont expect to be renewing any subscriptions this year.

We have one street/ road bike mag over here

that doesent but into the life style thing much,
doesent have any naked women in it which is a shame but it must be the best selling bike mag in the country. why because it does a lot of real testing adhearing to proper scientific standards.

it gives honest reviews and does yearly rate em and slate em suveys of all its readers.

It shows up the dodgy dealers bad manufacturers and in severe cases will even tackle the big corporations n behalf of a reader and publish the results.

If any product gets a decent rating in the mag the manufacturers use that as advertising because it is trusted by the consumer.

Its called ride magazine and even though it does all this the companys still advertise there.

Why , it has big sales and reaches almost every corner an niche of the street bike readers.

we buy it because it isnt full of sh#t unlike the rest.

Its a shame more publishers dont see this route to succsess as an obvios one.
