Default 250r engine vs 300cc of ex

Hmm.. pretty newbie question I guess.

This last mounth i was checking warrior vs 300 and decided to go with the 300 for some reasons.

Now i'v heard a lot of 250r guys talkin about, which is much better the ex300, faster, stronger

Don't know, sounds weird to me..250r whould be ex300? and as i'v seen maybe 400 too.. and warrior without a problem

Honda 250r whould beat ex300/warrior/ex400 ?
A stock one?

Thinking about getting 300ex machine and putting 250r if its a good engine? or in blaster whould it fit?

Talk to me guys! gotta know difference bewteen the engines.

I'm can't tell you a lot about how an engine works but I can tell you that a 250r is certainly a lot faster than a 300ex, or warrior and still faster than a 400ex. Its a 2 stroke so its a whole different animal.

sorry I wouldn't know but I'm sure somone on here will, and yes, the 250r motor is faster everywhere except for possibly the bottom end when compared with the 400ex. Compared to the 300 and warrior there is no contest

2-stroke vs. 4-stroke!! The 250R is a 2-stroke and the 300EX, 400EX, Warrior, etc. are 4-stroke. The 2-stroke engine fires twice as often as the 4-stroke. It's not twice the power, but it is way more than the displacement indicates. Trouble is, 2-strokes run dirty, so they are not "environmentally correct". The 250R is the standard by which the other bikes are judged!

the 250 is a great motor but just keep in mind that it will require more more fequent maintanace than the 4 strokes. this is not to say that it is unreliable, its just the nature of the beast.

It's sure going to be more thirsty than your 300ex and you will need to buy oil to mix it (2 stroke). I don't know how much a new 250r engine from honda can cost but you can find nice one on ebay. As for the 300R, honda doesn't do it but there are some big bore kit you can add to your R (265,295,310,330,350,400,410,425) And probably much more. Sky's the limit I suppose with Bore/Stroke Combo.

Ya figured it will charge more fuel.

hmm... on eBay, thats gonna be a problem shipping a engine into israel, gonna cost me lots.

if I'm getting lets say 250R Engine of Honda, on what ATV you whould best suggest me to put on

Option 1. EX300
Option 2. Warrior
Option 3. Blaster

as I'v heard, 250R engine with lets say a kit to go on 350, is godlike, a true beast, true eh?

Thanks for everyone help, like to hear your opion!

I think a well built 350R should be a REAL Beast. The best frame of the 3 you listed is probably the 300ex. But Why don't you just get a complete R?
