Loking to get more aggressive tires for 2000 Rancher ES 2wd. Opinions.....

I'm looking to get a more aggressive set of rear tires for my 2000 Rancher 350 ES 2wd. Factory specs shows that they should be 24x9x11's, but mine have 25x11x10's from factory. I'm wondering why? What size should I use, and any recommendations on a tire (semi aggressive/intermediate tread) Thanks! Jeff

After doing a search, it looks like the Goodyear Mudrunner 25x11x10's are "the choice". Expensive, but what the hek, so was the quad! HeHeHe! Best price i found was at Brutt Specialty Tires for $79.95 each, plus $18 shp. is that a good price? Thanks again! Jeff

I had stock sized Kenda Bear Claws on my Kodiak. I just traded the Kodiak in on a new Suzuki Vinson. I ordered new 26" Bear Claws for the Vinson before I brought it home. They are not the top mudding tire, but do extremely well, and got great reviews as an overall, multi purpose tire. They run $49.99 at Rocky Mt.

I have ITP Holeshot ATR's on both my Ranchers. They are on ITP 12X7" rims. These rims have a much greater offset than stock, and the bikes are something like 4" wider, and way more stable! The ride is more sporty as well!
I have to say that the ATR isn't quite as good a tire on the 2X4 as it is on the 4X4. The lugs are spaced pretty far apart, and in some conditions (hardpack), the traction isn't as good. (Doesn't matter on the 4X4, because the front is pulling, and makes up for it.)
