Default Sparks X-6 jetting?

I just ordered the X-6 complete exhaust for my 400EX. I planned on putting a 42 pilot jet, and taking the choke out. What should my main be? I plan on running a uni air filter with the lid off. Everything else is stock. Thanks!

temperature and altitude will make a big difference. where i live right now, it is 625feet above sea level and the temps are about 45 degrees. i am running a 158 with the lid on. i would run a 160 or 162 with the lid off. i do have a built motor but that didn't change jetting too much. removing the lid would change it more. let me know your elevation and temperature your riding in.

Default Sparks X-6 jetting?

I live in Southern Wisconsin. About 800 feet above sea level. Temps are in the 20's. Will I have to rejet it for summer riding too? Heck, I've never even jetted anything in my life! Now's a good time to learn, I guess. Any helpful tips? Thanks.

you won't have to rejet for summer but i highly recommend it. maybe i just do it because i am **** about jetting. i usually rejet the main 2 or 3 times a year depending on a few factors. for that temp and altitude and the x-6, filter, and no lid i would try a 160 or 162 main. see how it runs. by the way, that is if your are going to buy keihin jets. dynojets or the jets that come in a jet kit have a different numbering pattern so a 150 keihin is NOT a 150 dynojet. i tried to send you a private message and it said Ole doesn't exist or you do not want to recieve message. try to get that so you can recieve private messages and i can give you some very helpful tips.
