Anybody got a 265R ?

265cc cylinder isn't very great for drag or hill racing it is more suited for MX. I have a 310 on my 250R and it's great. Go with at least a 310 if you plan on anything like that or if you really want a lot of top end for drag go with an ESR 370 powervalve or you can even go bigger than that because i'm pretty sure CT makes a 470, but with these 370's or bigger you have to get a whole bunch of mods done to your case. ESR makes a regular 310cc cylinder that is fully ported with a billet head for $949 that is bolt on if you use stock length crank. Or you can get a 310cc powervalve which is what i have that is already ported for $1599, but the powervalves make a ton more power. Good Luck

ok that would be great but its not going to be a drag only bike and that sounds like some $$$. It will be kind of a faster play bike. I saw a national ported 265r at the dunes and it ran pretty good. Thanks for the info, anymore suggestions

a 265 should be fine then and it's good for MX if you ever decide to race. Like i said i got the 310cc PV on mine and it's awesome, but i'm planning on racing cross country and i want a whole lot of bottom end because of running through the woods.

Wow thanks a bunch ridley. Good info. I would love to have sparks port the cylinder but I know how long it takes to have your stuff done by him so thats the problem I guess. What about sandtrix racing or other kind of unheard of shops? I have some videos of the sandtrix R's and they fly by the looks of it. I know porting is where its at thats why Im going to do some research before I have it ported. Oh by the way it has a 38 airstryker for a carb.

Sparks in a reasonable amout of time, never happen unless your his buddy, i have been on the "list" for about 15 months now, called and talked to them, his priority is not on two strokes anymore so unless you are somebody special you can forget sparks.

Be warned though, I've ridden some CT, Trinity, and LRD 265's that were total dogs, especially compared to the sparks

ridley- Theres somthing wrong if you have never heard of sandtrix before.. and 265psi in a R!! I think that you are streching that out a little bit huh? And little some companys that are beter than most still ahvent been heard of. I.E have you ever heard of a&s racing? Probably most poeple here havent but they still make the fastest drag bikes around. (shee- 3.8- 300ft)
Wildchild660R- If your going to get a drag set- up dont get a powervalve jug. They pritty much take the power band out and "spread" the power out between rpm's. As in drag racing you want all your tourque and H/P at higher rpm and at the same rpm generally.
