we've hd an 87 250x since about 1989 or so...they're cool machines and was and still is the perfect size for me...those things can turn on a time and are very predictable and smooth...
didnt the first 300ex's come ith the e-start and some w/ kick or both or something?

yeah - just make sure you have good traction first of all...then hold on the clutch..and pump the trottle a few times so it revs a bit and you get better throttle response.....then let go of that clutch and give it some gas...it should come right now...just make sure you rev it enough to the point where when it comes up tht you have good throttle response so you can play with it and has the power to keep the front end up...hope this helps
