Okay, im really new to ATVing, I am picking my Rancher 4x4 350 ES up on tuesday and just had some general questions about being in mud and water.
If the water/mud goes higher then the muffler and it becomes submerged, is that okay? will it stall out and water get up inside the exhaust ports? Also, I noticed the fan on the rancher that assists in cooling the oil, is it okay to submerge that in water and mud also? I have seen it done in pictures but I was just wondering if its okay, I dont want to f*** anything up on my new toy, well not a toy
Thanks

Take it easy on it for the first 10 hours. After that let it have it. The intake is most likely under the seat. If it looks like your butt is going to get wet, then it is too deep. Other wise have fun. Most the electrical connections should be waterproof.

Thanks- I will take it easy for sure, to break it in. So it is okay to submerge the muffler?

I think rancher intakes are high- I havent got mine yet so I havent looked. In its specs. it says snorkle type air intake, I dont know where it is though.

Probably the same as the Foreman. No problem with getting the exhaust under water. Just have to give it a little gas, depending on how far under it is. Try to keep it from stalling. The physice come in when it stalls. You can get water into the engine if it stalls while the exhaust is under water. Just keep it running

I've been in places with my Foreman where I should have had Scuba gear on ! The bike never missed a beat. ( didnt stall ) If it had stalled , I think I would be singing a different tune. I frequently submerge mine up to the gas tak ( JUST below Air Intake ) and everything seems to work flawlessly. SO, I would say as long as water doesnt get in you Air Intake ,, Your ok ! Have fun and dont forget your fishing gear !

the air intake is right in front of the gas tank if it ever stalls jump off and hold the muffler above water and drag it to dry land then mine has always started up
