I had a hard time cold starting. I would have a friend tow me around in the morning to warm up and it was fine all day.. If you want to smoke stock raptors and still be reliable with the stock oil cooling equiptment thats what I would do!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its pretty fast......................

Your roblem was actually from the "rev kit" and if you put the OEM one on just to start it and once warmed up change it back etc it would be fine.
You could also up the pilot a few sizes to help and especially in the cold weather.
BTW funny how you said JUST and then went on a long long list of stuff LMAO

I dont know if you may get some advantage from the revbox being you ride the dunes etc but most of the people i have talked with (the ones with some engine experience or knowledge etc) are not very fond of those boxes. Since we ride completely different terrain with different needs etc you may get a benefit, but from what I have found unless you do a lot of other work to make this engine produce any real power in the much higher end of the rpm's etc its done making power right around the stk rpm limit etc.
Maybe ask some people who are using them where you ride (try to find the few who know, and dont just love every thing they buy or hear is cool etc) and see what experiences or opinions they have.
Other wise besides needing to resleeve for the 440 your thinking in the right direction etc.
