400ex/250r a-arms

first of all are 400ex and 250r a-arms the same length? and when you put them on a 300ex do they add 2" to each side? I know I will have to get the kit that relocates the shock mount.there is always 400ex and 250r a-arms for sale on ebay.and the 400ex shocks will work with 250r a-arms right? anybody that has done this to there 300ex tell me how it worked out. thanks

alright 250r a-arms and 400ex's a-arms aren't the same.I am not sure of the exact difference but the other day when I went to pick my jd +2 arms up they didn't have any in stock all they had was the 400ex arms and they said they wouldn't fit.About the relocater kit the stock 250r shock fits on the ex (I put my stock front shocks on mine)it looked very stupid and made the front end sit real high.what I would do is order a set of 300ex +2 arms (I will call the high performance atv shop and check to make sure jd makes them)and a set of 300ex shocks why do U want to put the 250r and 400ex stuff on a 300ex??

well here's the deal. if 400ex a-arms are are 2" longer than 300ex's than I can add 4" way cheaper than paying $500 for +2" 300ex a-arms.there are always stock 400ex a-arms and shocks on ebay pretty cheap. there are some stock 400ex a-arms that topped out at about $200 and some stock 400ex shocks that are at 51.00 with only 9 hours left. if I could add 4" for $350 (relocating kit is about 150) and a few more inches of travel why not? I would have to pay atleast $500 for the a-arms then have my shocks revalved. by the time I sold my Works shocks and old a-arms I wouldn't have spent much money. eventually I could put me on some P.E.P. 400ex shocks up front and be riding really smooth. seems like a good idea to me . later

ok cool.....I wish I could get more than 4" up front.maybe the 2" a-arms and wheel spacers.. cause with my wheels turned around I get 5" more and it will still tip up if don't watch it. well if I add some width to the rear I'm sure it will help alot. you have what about wheel spacer? some people say they will bend the axle. what do you think? people say not to put them on the front, why? too much pressure on spindals? I know that not true. I wonder how the wheel spacer them selves hold up? anyways see ya
