Is there a Differential Locker for a Foreman 450ES that can be turned on and off ? I do a fair bit of dirt road driving and I was told by someone that a Full-Time Diff locker would be hard as heck to handle. Is this true ? I would say I drive the bike the same as anyone else. Half the time looking for Mud , Other half just cruising trails and the odd road.
Is a Diff locker for me ? I want to leave everyone else behind in those MUD holes !

2000 450ES , Maxxis 26" Mudbugs, Supertrapp IDS2 , Dynojet Stage 1 , K&N Filter , 36.5W Halogen headlamps, Warn 2500 , Fender Guards , Full Skid Plate. Lift kit coming ,,,,, and Diff locker ?

I've got the locker in my 450ES. You can not enable and disable it. You have to take apart the front differential and replace a 3 piece clutch pack with a single solid piece that looks like the 3 pieces. Installation wasn't too bad. There's an article on this website on installation, plus instructions that come with it are pretty good.

As far as handling, they truely make a difference in the mud and going over logs. I don't notice much difficulty trail riding either. The harder steering is mostly noticeable if you're on black top at slow speeds or if you're not moving at all and you try to turn the handlebars. But if you're moving and if you're in dirt trails the steering difference is not bad.
