The reason we have this is so like others have mentined is that we actually have riding area. I don't know about anyone else but this "tread lightly" stuff hasn't changed how much fun i have on trails.

In the State of Missouri we used to have some great riding area back in the early 90's and before. But , there were alot of riders that rode anywere and did anything. we now have less than 1/2 of that area to ride now and are fighting to keep the rest. the tread lighty program look's good to the outside world and helps keep those ares to ride. I would also guess you don't see any thing wrong with the loud exhaust either.

I live in Rhode Island and there is not a single legal place to go riding here!! I have no choice but to ride illegally

Tread Lightly going for the extra money is caused by the greed of today’s society. A lot of people want a lot of money but don't want to work for it. Give me give me give me.
I think "Tread Respectfully" is probably better. Stay on the designated trails, pack out what you pack in, + a little extra. Respect the land. I have been 4-wheeling for 33 years and things have changed. I still want to go everywhere but do respect the rules and ride where I can.
