hey guys my freind just got a 2002 400ex and the motor is bone stock. whats the cheapest slip on he ca get. all he wants is noise, hes not worried about power. i told him if hes gonna get a slip on he should just get a whole system but hes on a tight budget and he just want something cheap and loud for now, any suggestions will be appriciated, thanks

You may want to do a little investigating, I've heard that you won't get more than a HP or two out of an aftermarket 400EX exhaust system. Unlike the Raptor, the 400EX exhaust is pretty good from the factory. Check into it, I only have 2nd hand info, not personal experience.

Why would he only want noise? I guess keeping it quiet so your neighbors don't complain and cause riding areas to be closed down isn't an issue where you live.

ya please try to get an exhaust that is semi-quiet. I really noticed no difference in horsepower. It did not really feel better at all. I thought that my $20 bucks for a 14 tooth front sprocket was better spent.

Alba makes a slip on for the 400EX. $212 I think. Something close to that.

Every alba pipe I have ever been around has been very loud. So I would think this one would be no differnt.
