Check out PRM Products. They make one if not the most durable plates I've tried. AC is lousy stuff.

I went with AP stick guards and bash plate on my 450..... very high quality and tough. As far as a belly skid.. I went with a maier belly skid plate it mounts up great... I had to drill a hole so I could still have access to the drail bolt on the front diff.... but other than that it has held up great! I go over logs and rocks all the time.... with only a few scratches to show for it! the best part... its under $50

Hope this helps

AP Stick Guards look Great and VERY protective. Do they slow you down in mud though ? They look like 2 big paddles sticking out there........

Got a Website for AP ?

Kosiac

hehe yea they do kinda look like big paddles....

honestly I have not noticed them holding me back in the mud..... but I am sure to a slight degree they do...just as any stick guards would.

I was really impressed with them when I got them... they are 1/4" thick, very tough, and don't hardly weigh anything.

the url is http://www.aluminumproducts.com

Hope this helps

I've had great luck with PRM products.Reasonable price and very tough..Did the front bash plate, full chassis, and rear swingarm plate at a cost of about $250 plus S/H..Also have the Oxlite boot protectors which also act as A arm guards. Couldn't be happier with the setup..

i noticed that the belly plate is made of a plastic . is it like a teflon? i would think that it would slide over stuff better than aluminum. has yours cracked or anything?

Yes it is made out of plastic..... not sure if it teflon or not...I don't think so.... But it has held up great... I do tons of trail riding along with mud, and on alot of the trails there are big boulders and logs that I have to go over.... I has some nicks, and scratches but nothing any where close to going through it. To be honest it has really surprised me how well it has held up.

I felt the same way about the plastic sliding better than alum. to me aluminum "grabs" rocks and stuff... if your trying to slide over it... I have not run a aluminum belly plate so I don't know for sure... but for the price difference you could buy 2 of the maier ones for the price of a aluminum one.

Hope this helps
