Default Building a 440EX, Jetting Issues

I coming to you Honda guys for a little help. I have taken a 400EX and made into a 440EX for a friend of mine, but I have some jetting issues on what would be a good starting point.

11:1 piston, stage one Hot Cams, Polished and Ported Head by yours truly, and a stock Carb for know.

Thanks for you help in advance..

Errnie660r-My wifes 440 is running the same compression as yours with a similar cam and the stock carb with the air box lid removed and at sea level it runs very strong with a 172 main but it does nearly as well with a 165 on up to the 172.I have mentioned before to others about how much performance we gained by finding and using the right mix of 110"race fuel" and 92 pump gas. With my wifes 440 we found that using only 1 gallon of the 110 to four gallons of 92 pump gas worked the best so that is at least something to consider. The fuel issue may be something you already have worked out but if not i hope this information works for you.I should also mention that a friend of mine had his 440 done by the same builder as my wifes but he is using a fcr 39 mm carb and 12.5:1 compression and so far we cant get his to perform quite as good as the wifes with a stock carb so a properly jetted stock carb may be the way to go.We are running a exhaust set up that most would disagree with (fmf-q and power bomb header) but for short 300 foot races in the sand its tendency to build most of its power in the low end to upper midrange works very well. This may be more information than you wanted but just in case you may be able to put some of it to use i thought i would share what we have learned while dialing in and tweaking our 440 this past summer on the dunes.

Thanks duneittilludie, I will try your combo as well. He does not have a lot of money so any help on the stock would be very helpful.

I've got a 440, i believe 11-1 comp(could be 12-1), stage II hotcam, port and polish, rev box and a full exhaust. I'm sticking with what I had in it before and the plug is tan. I dropped the clip on the needle down 1(which raised the needle up 1) and put a plus 2 main jet in it. I'm sorry, I cant remember what stock was so I cant remember what jet I put in.
