I have been meaning to post this. The other day my cousin with a 400ex and his freind with a 400ex and I went riding. We raced up about a 1/8 mile hill.It was muddy out so I wasn't hooking up and they weren't really but they where hooking up some. we raced about 5 times and i won once. I got in the lane my cousin was in and I grabbed the holeshot and pulled away from there.and then we went to my flatrack and as soon as I went around the first corner my bike ran out of gas.then it just started pouring down raining.so we are stuck in the woods with my bike out of gas and it raining so what do we do?? race in the rain!!! I got on my cousins ex while he sat on my 250r and I fell in love with it.Every time I shifted gears the front end came up and it slide perfect.It is an awesome machine. The only bad thing other than that it was raining was his seat was like ice U couldn't stay on. and going down a straight topped out in the rain down't feel well either.I got back on my 250r turned the choke on and somehow I rode her a mile with no gas in the tank(not as far as I could see) wideopen. I still had to push about 40 foot but that is better than a mile.but I was kinda disapointed in my new shocks they were rough I guees I need to set the preload softer.and I was also kinda mad about not winning every drag but U can't win them all I guess. I WIll have the new pics tommorow of my 250r my dads zilla my 300ex blaster and warrior.

What kind of mods does your cousins EX have?

 

Be careful not to run the quad out of gas while going wide open. As the gas empties, the engine sucks less gas and more air causing the engine to run lean, possibly causing a seized piston.

he has a factory honda .20 piston,K&N filter,outerwear,dynojet kit,nad drilled holes in the airbox.he experiminted with different size sprokets for a while but he ended up going back to stock tooth both front and rear and he has 18/11/8 holeshots on douglas blue labels. his freind has a jaws front bumper,ceet gripper cover,jet kit k&n filter,outerwear,ac nerfs,durablue wheel spacers. my cousins is a 99 and his freinds is a 2000.

 

do 25or's have reserve?

 

b(250rman) did you ride your friends quad?? What did you think of the durablue spacers? Were they in the front and rear?? Post it..

 

yes 250r have reserve.I always run mine on becuase if u turn the gas on on it comes out the fuel line slowly.IF u turn it on reserve it flows out smootly.I don't know what is wrong.

No I didn't ride my freinds qaud.But I do know when we raced on the same flatrack before and he didn't have the spacers he was constantly on 2 wheels.Now he had no trouble with 2 wheeling he said the bike felt no tendency to 2 wheels at all.As a matter of fact he kept spinning out in corners.(because it was raining)
