OK, just for my own curiosity, how many of you guys with the 250r's have replaced clutch cables more than once a season? My wife and my neighbor both have to put one on about every 6 months. They both have good billet baskets, good clutches, and new perch and lever assemblies. The Honda cables just seem to give out and break off at the barrel end. I done some research and found that a Yamaha Warrior cable works just nice, and the inner cable and barrel end are 1.5 times the size of the Honda cable. I cant recall many Yammi's breaking clutch cables and was wondering if any of you had a similar instance or ever wondered. I put the Warrior cable on my wife's just last week. We'll see how long this one holds up. Thanks.

 

My cable wasn't broke but clutch was extremely hard to pull.New cable fixed everything.I will keep track of how long it lasts.May try your cure next time.By the way,nice R.Where do you guys ride?I'd like to try the MX track in Russelville.

ANYONE ELSE have cable issues?

 

I just had my stock honda cable which was never replaced before snap on the weekend. Now i am goin to buy 2 motion pro's and have an extra one.
