01 ruby wont start!

Default 01 ruby wont start!

You might want to buy a shop manual, its well worth, the cost. Figure it this way, its less than an hour of dealer repair time.
Ive had hondas for years, and other than the older ones, with points, the ignitions have been flawless.

Default 01 ruby wont start!

This is a bit late and you hopefully found the problem by now, but I thought I would post it anyway. I had a similar problem, power flickered then everything went dead. I found a harness/clip under the left (while seated) front fender that looked fine, but was actually almost undone. Half of the clip snaps onto part of the inside wheelwell to hold the whole thing in place. That came off and the harness/clip was hanging and swinging around which loosened the connection enough to kill power. Checked the clip, pushed it together and everything lit up.

And as a side note... those Kawis are very nice bikes, but just not a lot of thought was put into the overall design and material choices for the composite racks or the fender trim specifically. I ride with 2 650s and something always breaks on every trip. Hopefully they have addressed those issues.

Thanks for all the help!........as it turns out the kill switch was defective......
