Default rubicon question

i have a honda rubicon 02'. i put about 1500 miles on it with no problems but a crappy choke. the other day it was about 10 below and i used the primer button for the first time. hit three times as the manual says it started no problem. went riding the other day and when i was done i checked the air cleaner drain and it was full of gas. could this be from the pimer button pushing the fuel in? and did onda improve upon the crappy choke after 02" model? any help would be greatly appreciated

I don't think the gas is from using the primer. It just doesn't squirt THAT much in the carb. Yes, they have an improved choke cable, it now has a "gator spring" around the boot up by the choke ****.
