Street Legal 400ex in Kansas???????
#1
I was wanting to make my 400ex street legal. Anyone now what the laws are in the state of kansas in order to register a quad legal for road use? It would be nice to cruise the dirt roads like we used to before the cops started crackin down on us. Any ideas on how to get this started or accomplished please post, thank you.

The March 1996 "3&4 Wheel Action" magazine ran an article on street-legal kits for quads. Duncan Racing [at (619) 258-6306] set up a Yamaha Warrior to be street legal. It cost them about $2000 plus tires and wheels.
A few years later, (June of 2000) the "4-Wheel ATV Action" magazine ran a simular article on a different "road kit". I would suggest that you try to get your hands on this issue....

Prices range (depending on if you are wanting the "basic" or "Boulevard cruiser" kit: $572.85 - $1785.58 plus freight. Hope this helps.

SORRY, BUT WE DON'T WANT OUT OF STATERS "CRUISING" OUR STATES BACK ROADS, GIVING ATV'S A BAD NAME! KEEP IT OFF THE ROADS AND ON APPROVED TRAILS. WE HAVE ONLY 300 ACRES OF TRAILS IN APPROX. 5 LOCATIONS ACROSS THE STATE AND WE DON'T WANT TO LOOSE WHAT LITTLE WE HAVE.
ATV'S ARE "OFFROAD" VEHICLES
