Usually turning off the key and turning it back on, makes it work. How s the battery? Fully charged, connections clean and tight?

Is the screen flashing? If so take note as to how many times. It is a code diagnosing the problem telling you what needs fixin. Good luck. Let us know. dg

Actually all that you need to do is use your body weight and rock the machine a bit and it will drop back into gear.

I tried the rocking back and forth. That doesnt seem to be working. When I tried to start it the other day before the problem began, the screen was blinking and the battery seemed to be weak. Maybe the battery needs changed? Thanks for the replies so far!

how many times does it blink? it should start blinking, pause for a few seconds then start again. count how many blinks it does before pausing for a few seconds.

Ok the blinking was the clock My mistake. Apparently my battery was getting a little weak. I called my local honda dealership and they said it was probably a 200.00 computer that they have had problems with. So why dont they recall it if it is such a widespread problem?
I've checked all my fuses and there is an unmarked black fuse. Im unable to even see if there is a problem with it or even what it is to. Does anyone know where the computer is located?

Not to be mean or any thing but thats just honda for you they are more into making money than a good machine it just soo happens that they are so good wthout even trying they throw alot out there and some turn out to be the best bikes ever

ohh yea but the way the computer will be in the upper rear of your bike if not just bring it back to be maintained if that isnt a big deal

I don't know what to tell you but my question is "why bother"? Just use the maual shift. I would personally hate automatic on an atv that takes all the fun out of riding it. Just dismantle the whole thing.
