Default 2004 Recon ES problem...Help!!

Today, I was riding my brothers 2x4 recon thorugh a stream, about 1.5 feet deep, with ice in it. It got stuck in the ice and bogged out on me. I pulled it out with my grizzly. On dry land, it starts up for about 5 seconds then boggs out on me. I've tried starting it numerous times and it does the same thing. Does anyone have the slightest clue of what the problem might be?

Thanks

While your at it you might as well check to see if the oil is cloudy. If it is , change it 2 or 3 times until all the water is out.

i opened my airbox after riding and all this mud and dirt had got inside so to stop this happening i got some pipe and made a snorkle. All you do is get some pipe slightley larger than the one on your air filter, slip it on, put a clip tight around it. Dont have it to long otherwise the air box cant get air fast enough so i was told. This should help in the future when riding.
