450r's recalled?
#1
Was talking to someone heavily involved in the ATV industry and the word is the 450r's have been recalled because of main bearing and crank problems and won't be in dealers till mid to late February. Apparently the wrong main bearings were installed at the factory. Will be interesting to see if he is right. Anyone else heard this?
I have also heard through other sources that Tim Farr has blown 3 or 4 motors already. Haven't heard if this is true or not but would be nice to know what's going on if it is. Might be related to the recall.

If this is true, then I say "KUDOS" to Honda for "re-calling" everything and fixing the problem instead of knowingly sending junk out to the dealers like some other manufacturers have done in the past.
Maybe if the rest would have put their machines through some real-world testing, they would have found the weak points in the machines before we got ahold of them.
I wouldn't expect to see any bent axles, broken frames, or trannies grenading on the new Honda's.

if this is true that sucks big time but its good that honda took care of it now then having everybody recieve the quad and then recall it i just dont feel like waiting for so long hope it happens quick.

I agree w/ LEP7mmm, I would rather have something late & perfect rather than getting junk early.
