My next door buddy is 29 and got his 450r two days ago and this morning he went out to warm it up and IT WAS GONE!!!!!!!!!WTF He called me over and asked if i was pulling a prank on him cause we always do that stuff and i was no i dint! He only has 2 hours on it if that. What all can you do really besides tell the police? People are so slim these days!!!! My buddy is so pissed and is seriously sick! Any ideas?

damn im really sorry to hear that, i hope he gets it back. One way i found to make my quad harder to steal is I bought one of those U-shaped bike/motorcycle locks that you put around the tire and attached it to my rear sprocket but i think im gonna start adding more security to it seeing as how ore and more quads have been getting stolen.

 

i park a car infront of my garage real tight so it cant be pushed, and asoon as a window breaks or any type of noise, my rotty goes beserk

I got my house broken into about two years ago, they were trying to steal my quad but failed. The next day I rigged the entire house. It's harder as fort knox to get into.

I installed a motion detecting video camera system, home alarm system with all the bells and whistles, barred all the windows, double padlocked the garage door (goodbye remote door opener) and installed two-way beadbolt locks so if you got into my house you couldn't get out. Of course I started packing heat.

The video camera system is great, you get to see and hear everyone that comes by your house while you are not home. It's pretty funny you hear the things people talk about while they are waiting for you to answer the door, very embarassing.

 

That's why I get the vin number of the quad I'm buying and get it insured before I even bring it home.


Unfortunatley, the quad is most likely long gone by now. Only thing to do is get put back on the waiting list, and wait for the next shipment, and shell out another 7K.

 

where did he have it cuz if it wasnt able to be seen from the road its prob somebody he knows that he told them he got it and they stole it or somebody who has a grudge against him since he only has had it for 2 days i deffinatly would be going to peoples houses that i told them that i got it and check it out thats crazy
