do you really think the z has 6 more inches of ground clearance?? for real the ex was pry measured at the sproket skidplate and the z measured at the motor to the ground.

wtf are you talkin about?

for real bcuz my 400ex has a lot of ground clearance and if the z was 6 inches higher then it would have like a foot

Fastbansheekid is right. Suzuki gets it's ground clearance numbers from under the engine cradle and not the lowest point of the ATV.

Honda lowered the MSRP of the 400EX to $5299 this year, so you really do get what you pay for now.

It's just a matter of spending a few hundred dollars more for more power, liquid cooling, and reverse.......and a different color ofcourse...LOL

On the Z the clearance at the rear of the swingarm sucks!!! My buddies wifes Warrior has better clearance than mine. I do alot of desert riding and believe me, you better get an aftermarket skid plate unless you like replacing the rotor after every trip. I'm constantly banging rocks that the other quads clear pretty easily..........

Well, I own both, so I have no reason to BS you!!! Both are excellent bikes! Jarsong covered it all pretty well. Suzuki copied the EX and made it just a little better! But, if money is an issue, go with the cheaper EX. Actually, for trail riding, I prefer the great low end power of the EX.
