Hey everybody just to let you know that i got my 300ex today, i found it local off of ebay. its a 2002 model. (stock)

Cool, mines a 2002 model too, if i were you, i would put a set of razrs on it and some nerfs to start off with, then move up to a pipe [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-cool.gif[/img]

Like i said, id go with razrs, or razr2s, they are pretty good, i have 20x11x9 on the back of mine they give pretty good traction, The top speed is around 57/58mph.

atvguy, if you put 20" tires on the back,it will corner and handle a lot better, but you will need to put a 14 tooth front sprocket on, or you will hit the rev limit a lot sooner, and be shifting all the time, tried 20" holeshots on my son's, and it ran slower, couldn't stop hitting the limiter, after a quick 14 tooth transplant,all is well. The Fast Trekkers on the back are cheap, and have great grip. If you have money for upgrades,the first thing is a decent pipe and filter, that will give the best return on your money,the stock pipe is very small, and chokes the engine off a lot.

 

ok what does change to a 14 tooth mean? and how would i do it and how much would it cost?

 

It means, throw a 14 tooth sprocket on the front, they run about $14.00 a piece.
