Houser Help
#1
hello, just woundering if any of you guys have experiance using the Houser crf frame. I ride in the uk, but not many people have this combo over here, so no one to talk to about it. I will need to change the bottom ball joints soon on the long travel arms. The system seems a little strange though, like there pressed and glued in? If any of you lot have had any experience with this setup, any help/comments would be most appreciated.
Regards

There is a flat circle clip on the bottom of the ball joint. It's on the outer edge on top of the flat plate. You have to look close to see the split. Remove this retainer ring and tap the ball joint through from the top. Houser recommends that you sand the inside of the ball joint sleeve until it's clean before installing/re-installing. If you are replacing them, Houser's new long travel lower ball joints have a grease zirk on the bottom plate, a much needed improvement. Their techs are very helpful if you can work the time zone difference and give them a call.
