Default Can someone help me with shock questions?

Hey. I am trying to decide on new shocks for my 250r. I know obviously there are companies that are higher quaility than others. I am looking to spend around 550 to 600. I have seen that I can get triple rate works with rezzies, I can get single rate elka without rezzies, I can get single rate ohlins with rezzies...... Many others too. I do mostly trail riding, some motocross on occasion, nothing crazy. I guess what I am asking is, are the expensive brands that much better so that getting single rate without rezzies (Elka) is going to be about the same quaility shock as a triple rate with rezzy (Works)?

it might be better to look ito whether or not your stock shocks are rebuildable, if they are you can have em re valved and re sprung specificaly for your own situation weigh and stile of riding, etc and would probably end up with a much better set up than any off the shelf set up would give you, at any price.

personaly i would do it on my zilla except im trying to get the thing lowered as much as poss and upto now its looking like im going to end up with some custom built Ohlins that are gona cost nearly as much as i payed for the Quad,
