would i be able to start a 1986 trx250r. i weight 125 pounds.. and i also have another question, does a trx250r use up gas fast?

 

Depending on compression youshould be able to kickit over.Gas consumption depends on alot of things like engine modsand type of riding.you can get larger tanks for xc riding.Mine has some mods and it isnt too bad on gas

 

what is your age? If it is stock you should be able too

On a stock 250R starting is very easy, just kick it very slowly twice, then really stab on the starter. Even after sitting for weeks, my '86 will usually start first kick using this method.

 

Thats exaclty what I do too. Works so good. Somtimes when my friends try to start it they cant because they didnt know they should do that first lol. ..... Back to the question, at first you might have trouble acually starting it like I did with my first 250R, BUT you will not have any problem kicking it over no matter how much compression it has, unless your a little chicken sh*t. I promise you that. Youl get the hang of it.... And if you cant start it then you should be riding it then!!!!!!!! Im not being mean im just speaking the truth.
