Rancheres,
I do not have the article in front of me but I believe the wolvering won all the performance comparisons. Ride quality is subjective as to what you are expect or want from your atv. People that ride hard and agreesive will prefer the Wolverine. People that don't will like the Honda. They gave it the nod for quality. Both of these bikes are basically bullet proof. I believe the wolverine actually has more HP. I know it can't compete on low end because it is high geared. Once again it is subjective as to what you are looking for.

You say that I obviously didn't read the article. I did, but it has been a couple of months. You say I can't add anything intelligent to the conversation. You are probably right. I did talk to other people that thought the same thing I did about the article. All the criteria witch you could measure with facts went to the Wolverine. All the subjective criteria went to Honda.

Hmmm, Biased. I don't know. I don't have one of these bikes but I have ridden both. If I had to downgrade from the SP500, I would probably buy the Honda. The reason would be attributed to my riding style.

Is it possible to voice your opinion or get involved in a thread without some knothead personally attacking your opinions or comments.

Everyone has different opinions. That does not make them wrong. Don't be so narrow minded.

Greg, I have no idea why they picked who they did. I have read the article and it is even here on my desk. I don't however think they picked the winner based on advertising dollars. That may be the case when they review the sport quads since that is their "bread and butter", but I don't think it is the case when they do the utility quads.

I read the other post about the Rubicon and it came off in the wrong way. It came off to me that you had a SP500 and it was superior. I understand you dont trust the Rubicon, it is a very new model. I don't understand anyone coming out saying it is the best quad....it has only been around for a couple of weeks. After reading these forums and the HL forums I see a lot of Polaris owners really on the defense. Not sure why though. I almost bought one myself! I am not narrow minded, just sick of all the young people on here brand bashing. Sometimes it really gets to me. As for my views, I own an quad, you own a quad.....lets be friends and lets ride!!!! I hope to get out to Fun Wheeler Park sometime and when I do I will drop you a line!

My personal opinion is that the SP500 is superior than any other ATV for the kind of riding I do. I guess if I didn't beleive that I wouldn't have bought my second one. I hope I am entitled to my own opinion.

I said in another post that the strength of the Rubicon lies in its reliability. I was questioned for that remark because it has not proven itself. I beleive Honda has proven itself reliable and until we see different we should assume the Rubicon will be no different.

I am not saying I think that Polaris quality is better. The SP500 has far more parts to fail. I do believe the suspension is far superior to any other on the market. Spend a few days on a Honda or Grizzly at wolf pen and you might agree. I have doe this and the SP500 was the difference between night and day.

As far as you coming to Fun Wheeler, we would love to have you. These forums are just talk, although sometimes heated. I enjoy riding and the more the better. Hell I would even ride with Rancheres and he has all but called me an idiot. Plano is not that far away. There are guys from Houston Waco West Monroe and Little Rock that come to Fun Wheeler on a regular basis.

Let me know when you might make it and I will try to get a group to go.

This brand bashing is silly. Sounds like a bunch of 14 year olds.
Look at the sales figures. They will show you popularity!
Let's all try and be constructive and helpful to a common goal.

lablover,

Judging by the spelling and punctuation of some of these posts, it just MAY BE 14 year olds. Not this thread in particular, but some of these are just frightening. Our future leaders. WOW.

Hey, Lablover and Indydave, I'm 14 and resent that comment. You should have said you are acting like a bunch of retards. LOL, actually, I ride mostly with other 14 year-olds and understand why that comment was made. They ride as fast as they can so they can be in front, then get all pissed off when they wreck and hurt their ride. I have been tempted to just keep going when they stop directly in front of me and other cute crap, but I don't because they would probly file a law suit against me in this sue happy world. Us 14 year-olds think we know everything, don't we:-)

Also, I hate how it has an age recomendation on all good sized atvs. I think they should make it so you have to be a certain height, strength, common sense, and most of all a high level of maturity before you are allowed to ride one (some sort of permit, enforcable with a fine). I wish that people weren't so stupid. We could possibly have 250r's, Tectate's, Lt250r's, and Quadzilla's if people had just used common sense in the past. (I never let anyone, or myself ride even 2 feet without wearing a helmet, or ride without knowing what to do.) I know that emisions is a big concern, but they could make them closed circut only, like 2-stroke MX bikes. Too bad a few ignorant people have to screw it up for the rest of us...
I'm 14 and proud of it!
Just a rant (ahh... I needed that)
