Default Who Would I Contact???

I have always had a passing interest in opening up a motorcycle/atv/pwc dealership. I have been looking for a phone number of someone to contact at Honda to explore this possibility and get some general information on what it would require, (ie investment, contractual obligations and general finances) but have been unable to find the appropriate contact person to get information from.

Does anyone know who would be the contact person at Honda to find out this type of information???

Peace

Not sure I will talk to a friend of mine that owns a dealership here and ask him for you. I will let you know. I do know that you better have alot of money to put down up front for a major company to take a real interest in helping you become a dealer. I am talking like $250,000. Minimum!!!!!!!!

Honda, like Chrysler and other large companies have franchise fees. You will not be your own boss. They dictate what you will or will not do. How big your shop area is, you take what they send you to start. They may make you take items that you may not be able to sell.

I have a friend that is a Honda Dealer and also a friend that is a Chrysler Dealer. They are both very upset at how they are dictated to.

If you like working for someone else ie Honda, then go for it. The Franchise cost I believe would be at least 300,000.00 plus inventory. They also have different programs at how much profit you can make. Some of the large dealers make their money at the end of the year on units sold. Some dealers are at Honda's mercy for high interest on items not paid for in full. Just check it out very carefully.

You may be ahead to get the facts from a Business Attorney.
