Default Rancher AT any Problems????

Lost my shifting when one of the electronic wires was cut by a small branch that got stuck by the skid plate - shop 2 days
Lost my whole rear end, broken swing arm, suspension, drive shaft - will be about 2 weeks in shop.

still less than 35 hours on machine - not a great start. ( and I really do not ride hard at all)

Default Rancher AT any Problems????

Fantastic machine. Sounds like someone bought a lemon. 6 months old, 300 miles. It's been through mud, and most recently the 2 feet of snow/ice that we have up here in the great white northeast. I really like this machine, and hope problems do not arise, but so far so good. What a great tranny. I pulled my 600lb. Polaris snowmoblie, with a broken cog wheel and frozen track, over 200 yards through the field to the road, wiht someone pushing from the back of the sled as well. Yesterday, I had to break trail for a Suzuki 4x4. It's taken the abuse I've dealt it, and I ride hard.

Default Rancher AT any Problems????

My Rancher AT is 3 months old, has 17.5 hours on it and 52 miles. Many of those miles are from pushing and riding in deep snow. Been stuck a few times. I just get off the bike, put it in automatic and it usually walks right out by itself.

I run it hard, but not abusing it. I am going to have the complete check up at 20 hours even if I do not have 100 miles on it.

No alignment problems, my runs straight as an arrow. I believe my valves are starting to make some noise, but will have them adjusted with the first service. No rattles, I have a Cycle Country Plow on front. I ran it down a snowpacked road today, went 5 miles with blade in up position and no noticeable noise, rattles. I am thrilled with the machine. I did notice that the dealer did not align the brake levers with the handle bars very well. I am realigning them myself. Tires were not all the same pressure. I have been running 4.0 lbs. I believe some dealers just slap them together and out the door they go. I bought the extended warranty, hope never to have to use it though.

Default Rancher AT any Problems????

Got my Rancher AT two weeks ago. Believe it or not I bought it used. Saved quite a few $$. I figure over 25% less than a new one. Apparently an older guy thought it didn't ride smooth enough. Traded it in on an Arctic Cat 650. I'm sure he will notice a difference with that one having IRS. But I'm glad he didn't like the ride. I love this machine. While it may not be the fastest, sportiest, smoothest, etc. It has everything I wanted in a single package. That's the key. Get what YOU want for what YOU want to do. But do the reseach first. It is a bit cold blooded. But it was -20 degrees here last week so I can't complain. I had to use this one to jump start my old Big Bear which happens to have the snow blade mounted on it. Great machine. You wouldn't be sorry.

Did you buy it for 4400.00 or less? If you did, you got a sweet buy. How many miles and hours on it? You will love it.

$4500. Maybe not as sweet as I thought. But saved this way on sales tax too I guess. Had about 70 hours. Not a scratch on it. I think the guy used it on the ranch for rounding up cattle.
I've ordered the parts to move the plow over to this from the Big Bear. Time to send this old beast to the berry patch but still ride occationally. It has been a great machine that has taken a lot of rough riding over the years.

Only the valves adjusted at it's first service. It is a great machine. I just wish I had more time to ride. I can tell Rancher400AT likes his, I see his name everywhere in here. It is nice to see a few more people in here talking about this bike on a daily basis.
I just bought my extended warranty today. $340.00 for 4 years. My local dealer wanted $540.00 for the same thing. I thought with this being a first year bike it was the smart thing to do.
