how much did you get for your 400ex when you traded it in for the 450r?

 

reconranger, congrats on the new machine. Hope you enjoy the ever-living-**** out of it.

 

Rafalnos-I haven't talked turkey with them yet. No doubt they will low ball me, as all dealers do. I do have a guy who is interested in it, so I hope we can go that route, and not do the trade in thing. The bike has lots of aftermarket goodies, like Works Performance suspension. Trouble is, when you sell a used bike, you never get your money back for all that stuff. I would keep it for my daughter, but I just don't have anymore room in the garage!!

 

I have never doubted anyone saying they have a R, but when the YFZ came out, video's were easy to find all over the net. But the R has been out for a week or two now, and we barely even get a ride report. It's mostly, I got my 450R! But I have to work for the next three or four weeks, and won't even get to look at it. I'm just wondering when we get to see the video's of the 450R competeing and just plain riding around. Jumping or doing anything....except talking on that budweiser site. LOL. I bought my 450r on jan 30. I didn't waste any time going to pismo .ca. the next day.what i can tell you in my own opinion the bike handles better than any quad i have ridden,It jumps perfectlyIt does have plenty of power,very smooth top to bottom.I did race stock and modified suzukis,yzf's ,raptors. I could out run all of the stock ones but the yzf with a pipe could beat me by two or three lengths.the honda 450 would start on the first kick almost every time. want more info?

 

adunealine-So no easy break-in for you????? Just took it out and rode it hard????? You got the power up kit????

It's best to break in a quad the way your going to ride it the most. No need to take it easy on it at first, just to dog it later on.

 

No, i rode the bike the day i got it at variable speeds.the next day went to pismo.I went on two long rides before i raced.

 

No hrc kit.
