Saw the latest GNCC results and the pro class is dominated by Yamahas with some Suzukis. Isn't Honda sponsoring anyone? Lot of people watch these races back east and seems like it would be a good idea to get their so called great new quad on the podium.

I don't think we'll see much of the 450Rs in the GNCC until quite a bit later this year, if any. As far as I know, there isn't currently a Honda sponsored GNCC rider. I could very easily be wrong though.

Hey Bro...the results are for 2004 even though the link says 2003. Here's another link for the GNCC race last weekend.

http://www.gnccracing.com/2003/serie...s.asp?s=2&c=10

The link says 2003 in it but if you look at the page, it says 2004 at the top. Check it out this time and then come up with an excuse of why you don't see any this year

whatever, then my answer stands for 2004. Does a January 28th 2004 release date- ring a bell? I don't think you saw the YFZs until later into the 2003 season, actually it was very late in the season. Obviously, the same would hold true for Honda.

If your post is solely for bashing Honda, then sorry I replied. I'm glad you like your YFZ. The 450R will be no better or worse than your yammi.

Later.

Tim Farr has been racing his 450R for a few months now. He did the Baja 1000 in November, some arenacross, and now the stadium series which started in early January.

I am specifically asking about pros who get everything before the rest of us. As for bashing Honda, notice the smile? I am just really surprised Honda didn't try to get into GNCC since they seem to be involved in GNC, stadium, and desert racing.

Because only a few people have them currently. Give it time. The ones that were there were mostly stock. A friend of mine had one of the only ones there. He took 12th overall on his - he has only had it since last tuesday, and this is only his 2nd or 3rd GNCC. Not too bad a showing.

What's up man? You seem awfully concerned about the TRX for someone who doesn't like Hondas. I'd be out enjoying that YFZ instead of worrying about what Honda's doing.

Honda was the first to start the latest round of factory sponsorship when they signed Farr to run the GNC & stadium races. Giving them crap for not sponsoring a GNCC rider isn't very cool. With a little time hopefully more sponsorships will come to more riders - which we'll all benefit from with improved machines every year, just like the dirtbikes enjoy.

I'm unsure why people have to be such bungholes about these different models. The TRX and YFZ will both have their own advantages and disadvantages. Just enjoy the fact we have choices like these - I KNOW you've been around long enough to remember the dark ages, Doug....

The Suzuki's are tough to beat in GNCC. Honda better buy some good riders if they expect to do good in GNCC. Yamaha isn't far behind with the talented riders they have. Matt Smiley has really done good on his YFZ since getting it at the end of 03'.

Good point, and the more time they have to tweak their bikes and riding style- the better each rider gets with their quad. Just means better and faster racing for the fans !!!!!
