Default Race gas or not

I was wondering if I would have to run race gas. My dealership told me I would now I'am just fishing for a second opinion. I have a 03 400ex with a JE 10.5:1 piston, WhiteBrothers Cam, WhiteBrothers Revbox, WhiteBrothers R4muffler, LRD lightned Flywheel, LRD ceramic coated stock headpipe, K&N filter, Motoforce intake kit, R/D chromoly valve springs. I'am just not sure if I need to run half and half or not. Or will octane booster not the cheap booster but the good stuff like NOS or Outlaw. One more thing I primarly run on the beach what jets and size do you recommend. Thanks

At 10.5:1 you don't need it, it will just be a waste of money and an pain to go get. Race gas does not product more power, it just allows you to run higher compression without detonation.

With your compression you could get away with running 93 octane.

So What do you think about just running super with a good octane booster.

Waste of time and money, octane booster is not recommended, too many additives.

I know everyone likes to say they run race gas and brag about it and all, but after paying $6+ per gallon and having to drive around on Saturday mornings looking for it, it gets old.

Just look on the bright side, you don't need race gas or octane booster, you don't need it.

If you still want to throw your money away I could just give you my address and you could send it to me.

93 octane is fine unless you are running higher than 11.1 compression.

Absolutely 100% correct! I run c12 in all my modified bikes and 93 in the rest with the exception of the grizz!

If your concerned, you can mix some race gas in to make you feel better. You may want to contact JE on this. I recently put in a 11:1 piston in my Raptor, and I was just gonna use premium. My builder told me to use use 110 octane, and I thought he was full of crap. I looked on Powroll's website, and sure enough, they said to run 108+. This may be overkill, but I feel its cheap insurance, I'd rather pay more gas, than rebuild an engine.

You will probably need to be around 165 for your main jet. If that is close to where it was before the mods I'd try that jetting.

It hasn't been jetted yet The guys at the shop and I were trying to figure it out. We figured we would get it put together and call WhiteBrothers and have them give us a clue. I figured I would ask you guys 165 sounds about right I think we were leaning towards 160 or 165. So I don't need race gas thats good. That stuff is expensive.

ok guy this whole thing about race gas does it or does it not work YES it does but it just depends on what brand you get if you buy that junk from the gas pump 100 or 110 it's junk but if you buy the VP fuel that is OXYGENATED thats what makes the big diff I have seen it with my on eyes on the track and on the dyno you can and I am at this time runing mr9 $125 for 5 gallons which makes 9 more hp and the u4 makes 6 more trust me you will see the diff in your bike also with this gas you CAN NOT leave it on your bike longer than a 2 or 3 days because it will turn in to like a gel state tust me I know lol other then that you need to run it out of the can don't mix it with pump gas VPFUELS .COM
