Default Hard faced rockers

I was told by LRD performance that I would need hard faced rockers with the stronger valve springs I installed. Is this true I have R/D chromoly valve springs and a WhiteBrothers all around cam. He told me hard faced rockers are about 300.00 bucks. Thats a little too much so if I can get away with it I will.

If the cam you are using is advertised as a "drop in cam", you don't have to worry about your rockers. If you use stock rockers in a hard welded cam, it will eat them up. Just because you are running heavy duty springs doesn't mean you need hard faced rockers.

If you are in doubt, I would call the manufacturer of your cam and see what they recommend.

I *think* the WB all around cam is made by WebCam. If this is true, I am 99.9% sure it is hardwelded, and you need hard-weld rockers. If you decide not to put them in (as I didn't), they will eventually wear out, as will the cam, and all will need to be replaced....with hardweld (as I did).
