The Raptor 350 is a Warrior with a few changes. Two of the things the 300ex had over the Warrior was better handling and a lighter weight. The Warrior has about 5 mph's more of a top speed. One negative thing about the Warrior is the cruiser feel. It doesn't invite you to move around and stand up as much as other quads. Now the Raptor 350 doesn't come out until around April. It will be interesting to see if Yamaha changed enough about the Warrior to make it handle as good or better than the 300ex. The Raptor 350 has a different seat (along with other things) and a lighter weight. So time will tell. It's a step up for the Warrior/Raptor 350.

I've heard many times that the 300ex out-accelerates the Warrior until 5th gear when it can no longer accelerate. The 300ex stays ahead of the Warrior until the Warrior get's into 6th gear.
The Raptor 350 is a changed bike. It's got raptor style plastics and this allows air to flow more freely. Air Resistance is probably reduced thus allowing a better acceleration. The tires are smaller on the Raptor 350 and will be easier for the engine to pull. I think the Raptor 350 will beat a 300ex off the line...
